August 1 near Booneville
I've
been sitting here since about 3:00 thinking about all of the people who
have touched our lives because of Lynda throughout the years from
Brewton, Alabama where we lived when she came to live with us to Oxford
where we moved so she could go to the Lafayette County Child Development
Center (now Scott Center) to Batesville where we lived for a couple of
years and again Oxford for the majority of
Lynda's life. People are now scattered across the country. Lynda
lived at home and attended Scott Center until she was 22 and aged out of
the school system for special education. She entered NMRC when she was
21 so she could attend Scott Center during the day as we transitioned
to NMRC. So at this point in Lynda's life, she has lived at NMRC for
half of her life. She has a huge extended family composed of the
clients and staff who live and work there. Many arms have comforted my
child throughout the years and to each and everyone I have always
thanked God for you. Today, you continue that care as you sit with her
throughout the day and night when family members cannot be there. God
sends lots of different types of angels to care for Lynda. Some we can
see. Some we cannot. Some we might not recognize but have no doubt,
angels are there and have been sent by God. Today I am thankful for
Lynda, for those who love her, for those who care for her and for those
who are praying for her. Good is good all the time.
