Lynda and Kasidy
The first time Lynda came home after Kasidy had been with us for a few months, it was the most amazing thing to watch. Kasidy was a puppy really and she was always so excited to see any and every one. She jumped and twirled and kissed you. She would just about knock you down trying to play. When Grandmother Anderson came over, we had to put Kasidy on a leash until she could calm down because Kasidy would be so rambunctious she'd scratch mother's skin which was as thin as paper. Then she'd try to kiss her (lick) which Grandmother Anderson did not find fun at all.
So when Lynda came home we were wondering what Kasidy would do and what Lynda would think of this whirling ball of fur. Russ went to NMRC to pick her up and when they came in the front door Kasidy was as calm as she could be. She went over to Lynda and stood next to her. When Lynda sat on the floor to play, Kasidy sat next to her. We were just amazed at the difference. Maybe Kasidy sensed Lynda's calm. Maybe she sensed that Lynda was fragile. I don't know. I just know that they both bonded immediately and when we'd put Kasidy up on the chair or sofa with Lynda...Kasidy would snuggle up against her and Lynda would put her hand on Kasidy's fur.
Schnoodles are often used as therapy dogs and Kasidy would make a good therapy dog. She would just want to puppy kiss them all the time. Lynda played in the position she's in on the sofa...legs wrapped almost around her neck. One shoe on. One shoe off. This was Christmas 2011. From the look on Lynda's face you can see it was a perfect day.
